Like the title says, it truly is a wonder...some of the places down here. My family and I have recently decided to start looking for another sheltie to adopt. Karma had passed away last year around this time. This place we found, had darling shelties that we inquired about. For some reason these people decided to contact us through e-mail only. which we found a bit frustrating and unusual. We had also specified that we wanted younger shelties, not seniors. (while I do understand that senior dogs to have it bad when it comes to adoption due to most families not wanting older dogs).
They just really seemed like they didn't want to give us dogs at all. We had the house inspection and such and it went well...however when they got back in touch with us to "match" us with their dogs, one of two dogs had been adopted and the other they said would not be a good match for us.
Now, I fully understand them and their viewpoints, however...no one has the right to tell me what dog works for me, especially when they've never spoken to me on the phone or met me personally. DOGS CHOOSE THEIR OWNER, NOT the other way around.
These people at the shelter have insulted us and have had bad business ethics, and I do hate talking neg. about people, but I just hope and pray for those pups that they find good homes.
I'm sorry to everyone if you read this and felt it was a waste of time. I'm just so upset with these people for not respecting the clients and the dogs at the shelter.

I will say this...Karma will indeed let me know when its the right time for another dog, and which one to go for. In the meantime, I enjoy her presence by my side, along with Misty my first dog.
